Well, you had 2 more trick-or-treaters than we did. My husband was so disappointed. Me, I could care less. But he had a costume on, prepared to have some fun with the costumed guests, and had stuff for the kids and nobody ever came. When we finally gave up to go to a late dinner, we didn't notice anyone out as we drove through the neighborhood, until we got to around Delridge. Back in NYC we'd have droves of kids, but in the 3 years we've lived in the Seattle area we've had maybe collectively 6 kids, and that was probably only because last year we lived in an apartment complex. We wondered, too, if the former resident was known as someone who didn't give out stuff. But given what I'm hearing from others about no visitors, I think I may just give up for next year.

It's not you - our experience over the last six Halloweens in West Seattle (Genessee Hill area) is the same.

Despite last night's very mild weather, we had exactly three kids come by - one from the house on our left and two from the house on our right.

We took our two little ones out for a couple blocks and I'd say half the houses were completely dark. Perhaps those are the people who have lived here longer and have just given up since no one ever comes by anyhow?

Anyway, still fun for the little guys!
