AHHH I have a BLOG!!!

Shoot me!!! I have a blog. It’s AMY’S Fault.

Sorry Amy but I have to blame SOMEONE.

I used to SWEAR I would never have a blog. Now I have TWO (this one personal and one for professional use). However since moving to Seattle I have been working really hard to keep up with everyone. I have found myself reading Amy’s blog daily and it has really helped me keep up with their lives in Ohio.

That started me thinking, maybe it would make it easier for friends in MD to keep up with us if I had a blog.

Also Jason and I want our monthly newsletters to be about Ethos more then about the family. But I wanted to have a way to keep everyone up to date on what is happening in the family. So a blog it is.

If you want to catch up with the Douros family here is the place to do it. I promise to try to respond to all comments in a timely fashion. (The KEY words in the proceeding sentence being TRY and TIMELY! :) )

Now a word to all my friends and family in MD and everywhere. I miss you so much. SO MUCH. I love Seattle. I love the area, the weather, the people, I love it all. However I am lonely for my friends in a deep way. Some days things happen and all I want it to call you and chat. But there are three hours separating us, not to mention the almost 3,000 miles, and do you really want to hear from me at 11:00pm to have me vent about my kids difficult bed times– I seriously doubt it.

I am about to say something truly HORRIBLE (so if you are easily offended please stop reading NOW), if I am honest, and I try to always be honest, deep down inside I hope that you all miss me as much as I miss you. Not that I want you to be lonley and miserable, but I guess I just hope that you guys are thinking of me when I am thinking of you. Ok Ok I am REALLY not miserable. I am exaggerating. But I am lonely for all of you.

I just really miss you all.

So check back often. I will try (again TRY being operative) to update daily to keep everyone informed about life in Seattle. And how our family is adjusting. I promise to try not to be this mushy all the time. :)

Welcome to the blogging world. Often times I write just for my own sanity, glad to know someone reads it because they care! not that it matters, but you could probably put a link to my site from here somewhere, I love being linked on someone’s page! :-)

one of our neighbors sons name is Quinn, so it’s hard not to think of you guys often, and one of Dean’s friends here looks like Jason, so theres tons of reminders of you, and then of course there’s the memories….all alone in the moonlight…sorry…I digress…

snow and the beach, I’m so confused!?!

I need to fix my linkbar but as soon as I do I’ll put a link to here from my page too!

    miss you too!!

oh yeah…we’re always up late if you do need to call us when it’s 11 pm here, esp. now that it’s summer we’re up later. it stays light out til at least 9 so the kids are outside til then if not later playing, so our bedtime is naturally later….so call if you need to …let me know if you need the number

Yep, the BEACH is Alki Beach, about 15 minutes if we walk and four if we drive. Yesterday it was so beautiful we had lunch at the beach and then went for a walk in the sand. It was very impromptu and so no sunblock. Willoweve and I ended up a little pink.

So today we are heading to Mount Rainer, were there is snow in Paradise (the highest point you can drive to on the mountain. We will get to hike around and play in the snow.

So we get to play at the beach and the snow in the same week!! Can life get any better – well it could – if all my friends were here to play with us!!!! :)

A little pink? Not surprised at Willoweve, but I’m assuming that “admin” is Jason and that is surprising. I miss you all so much and wish I was there to go with you.

Anybody want to buy a house in Odenton? I need a buyer so I can move to Seattle. However, I’m moving by mid September even without a buyer.

We have the muggy weather now, and I really, really, miss the nice cool weather there.

    I’ll be there soon,

    Mom

Actually Admin on this site is Pam :)

I guess that explains the pinkness. We were at the Mountain all day today and I ended up even pinker – and I was wearing sunblock. Fortunately the sun block seemed to work better for Willoweve then me.

It was the perfect day for Mt. Rainier. We had a blast. It was warm though, Jason and I agreed next time we go to the mountain snow or not it will be in SHORTS!!!
