I saw my podiatrist again today – we have a standing date every three weeks now.

We have decided that eventually I need the surgery on my ankle.

I am holding off for now.  The six to ten week recovery on crutches is very intimidating.

How do you take care of three children while on crutches for six weeks.

AND I won’t be able to drive because it is my right ankle.

To make everything just a tiny bit more complicated – as of right now Jason will be loosing his insurance in January so our family will be without health insurance.

What to do what to do?

Well, for tonight I am sitting with my feet up.  I got a cortisone shot in my right foot and it is still really hurting tonight.

Happy Friday everyone.  I hope everyone has a wonderful and happy weekend.

well I’ll let you know how it goes w/ recovering from foot surgery w/ three kids!! Not my idea of fun, day one and I’ve managed to scoot on my butt down the flights of stairs to sit in the family room/playroom so I didnt feel so lonely upstairs but having to go back up to go potty! day one of the cortisone is generally painful but mine was generally much better on day 2 and 3 for sure. except this last time it just hurt like heck, until today that is!! :-)
you’re not alone and I don’t know how we are going to manage while I recover but I know God will provide helping hands when needed! at least that’s what I’m praying!!

I hope that your foot surgery goes well! I had ankle surgery last year and I recovered a lot quicker than I ever thought I would. You will be in our prayers!
